Santo Domingo.- The Public Health Ministry announced Thursday that more than 100,000 people will take part starting today in a nationwide mobilization to prevent and orient against dengue and other tropical diseases.

Public Health minister Bautista Rojas said thousands of teams of technicians, support personnel, health promoter, entomologists and epidemiologists will be working around the country during the weekend, to prevent and fumigate against the disease along highways, streets and alleys.

He said all of the Armed Forces members who were trained on preventive measures and strategies against respiratory diseases will also take part in the effort.

Rojas added that he will head the operation which begins in Santiago today and continues in the capital on Saturday and then to the southern provinces San Cristóbal and Peravia on Sunday.

Well I do not drink the water in DR only desani water... I try to drink Presidente when I feel that the ice cubes will have unfiltered water...

im thinking to bring my own bottel water with me in my check lugagge. this is now much i FEEL about the water and even the BOTTEL WATER.
be funny if they steal my lugagge. lol

I have never gotten sick from bottled water in DR... I think that most are safe except if you buy from the guy selling it on the street

guys, trust me this stuff is safe, I lived almost all my live with this trucks around spraying , and never gotten sick.

well thayt good that they are doin it nation wide but only problem is that the goverment doesnt have money to to dat but they are borrowing the funds
