Santo Domingo.- The US Interim Ambassador today hailed the Dominican authorities’ role in the arrest of the Puerto Rican fugitive murder convict Jose David Figueroa Agosto.
United States Embassy Commercial attaché Christopher Lambert visited president Leonel Fernandez in the National Palace on Monday, to personally thank him for the Dominican authorities role in Figueroa’s capture. “The Dominican cooperation was a determining factor for Figueroa’s arrest.”
The diplomat called the war on drug trafficking fundamental and important and said the countries must work jointly in all drug trafficking cases because it’s the only way to guarantee success as occurred with Figueroa.
Lambert visited Fernandez together with Foreign Relations minister Carlos Morales to discuss the ex fugitive’s arrest and to personally thank him for the cooperation by local authorities.

Mr. Christopher Lambert::
Besides you are praising Lie-Onel for his cooperation, have you mentioned any corruptions happened daily in DR? Without this kind corruptions, I do not think the Puerto Rican guy can operate his drug network for 10 years.

Guys Guys, you're getting ahead of the game. What this news demonstrates is that LF's meeting last week with Obama had a few other items that have come to fruition. Few people knew how close all these "Pablo Escobar" wanna bees were to being capture. The Jamaican incident should have alerted us all that something bigger was being cooked and ready to serve. I suspect that at the meeting LF was told about the coming capture and perhaps the meeting served to establish the "new atmosphere" to be instituted in DR. Perhaps some people were discussed to "take the hit" and be thrown under the bus, in order to show the Public the spectacle has claimed some meat, and not mere froth. LF may come out of this looking like a conquering leader, believe it or not. I do hope he doesn't take it to mean that the DR can not move without his guiding hand. But others in similar conditions have been tempted before.

"The Puerto rican police-corruption scandal widened dramatically Thursday with 23 more officers indicted on charges of protecting drug dealers and traffickers, and news that the web of bribes may have spilled over into the court system."

wow you guys cant read between the line. Obama and LF meet, Obama said if Figueroa still a free man,i cant support your re-election. At that point LF called his contact that still in contact with Figue. "loco el jefe quiere que te entregue". now Obama would tell the governorof Puerto Rico for this guy to be judge in DR when we all know tha he broke as many law in PR. but in the DR the judgement would be pass in close door with no media access or anybody that would leak this crap out. cus homeboy would be found guilty,and send to an "undisclouse location"(la finca en Sosua)now same situation in PR,some ficalito wants to make a name for himself, say to figue if you dont talk i'll make sure that your entire fimaly get wipeout starting by the hanging of your mom nude en la plaza. then figz might talk and the "war againts Drugs" goes to shit. we all know that they know whos in top of this,he be murder in a week,and we'll find out that Figz is coparating. Forget Obama fighting the drug war in the Caribe. He isn't even worried about the bloodiest of drug battles right on his own border (potentially spilling over into AZ,NM, TX and CA) between the Mexican Drug Lords. He is more concerned about saving his own a$$ now, and hoping history will be kind to him and rank him a better Pres than Jimmy C.,,,,,,, And that aint going to happen.
How lame is it for the US State Dept to slap LF on the back with an "atta boy". Talking about sucking up! That is totally embarrasing and shameful. LF is an enabler to the Drug Biz Honchos!

US is a bunch of backstabbing mafia criminals. They simply want to ensure the monopoly of their drug routes to poison their people and ensure revenue to the Federal Treasury mobsters. DR is a client state Government of the USA. VIVACUBA. VIVAVENEZUELA. VIVABOLIVIA.VIVAECUADOR.

This is nothing more a faint representation of diplomatic kowtowing to make press releases to say what a good job they are doing to fight the drug influence. However, this is a minor setback for the drug interests, they will reorganize.
Just wondering, what is in the US's dossier of Dominican officials present and past and what is in the mind of the attaché when he smiles and shakes the hands of known persons of interest holding high positions.
