Santo Domingo.- Just two days after the local media criticized president Leonel Fernandez for allegedly preferring the foreign press to grant interviews, the Presidency’s Press Office announced Thursday that he’ll host a luncheon today Friday for the reporters and photojournalists who cover the National Palace.
It said the activity will start at 1:30 p.m. in the Green Hall of the National Palace, whose guests were invited by telephone.
It’s the second time the Head of State lunches with reporters who cover the National Palace this year, the last time on April 5, to mark National Day of the Journalist.
The reports which criticized Fernandez’s alleged disdain for the local press include the news sources caribbeandigital.com, hoy.com.do, and clavedigital.com.

Force this empty suit moron to fire "Rodriguez Pimentel ". If this moron does not have the intelligence to understand his actions were against the law. Then he should be fired for that alone.
Due to my very busy schedule, during lunch I will be unable to take, or answer, any questions regarding the deteriorating conditions here in the DR. Nor will I answer questions regarding the out of control corruption that is washing over the country. However, I will be having a Press Conference on February 3, 2011 in Paris during one of my BS "business trips" where I will be taking and answering all questions. Unfortunately, the conference room is quite small there and only the local press will be admitted. Since I don't speak French, I will be doing a lot of waving and smiling, and introducing the First Lady.
