It is long talk between Rafael and L-f, something tough for the drug cases.

I assume there are some high ranking officials are on the list, then, L-F is thinking how to clean up the messy without shaking his power.

L-F, tell the truth to your people, admit that the mistake, it is much better than lying and covering the mistake...

A success yet there is no mention as to what was discussed or accomplished. Funny way of putting it .

As a democratic president Mr. Leonel Fernandez should publicly ask the cuban government for free elections then he can do all the negotiation he wants.

Has LF ever done anything that wasn't reported as a "success"?

If he meets with someone and they promise something, like during the Arab Emirates trip, or the France trip, or the Germany trip, it is a success. That nothing ever happens after this vacation doesn't matter because it was declared a success. If he holds an ideas summit, spending millions along the way as he did in February 2009, and he comes out of it promising that all kinds of new ideas that were proposed will shortly be put into action that is a success. That we never heard about these ideas again doesn't matter. If he promises to make education a success, and allows it to be underfunded, to the point that 48% FORTY EIGHT percent of the students taking a proficiency test fail it, he still claims it as a success. I guess it just depends on your definition of success.

Juanb, I imagine that Leonel haunts you every night you go to bed ..the fact that he is popular in the Dominican electorate and is popular in so many countries and the fact he is on DT every day and on the television and in the papers must drive you to total distraction ..He is like a spirit moving through your mind and whether you are awake or asleep , he is always there smiling at you and beckoning you to the edge ..to the edge of total obsession ..and what can you do?? Nothing because there is no one else and he will be smiling at you for many more years .

JuanB as always I have to agree with you. Ricky actually thinks Leonell is a respected polititian instead of the pawn he is. He also thinks he does good things for Dominicans which I find totally incredible since living here more than 10 years.

It is possible Ricky is siitting in Casa de Campo behind the walls and isn't allowed out to see around him since that is the way he speaks of his surroundings.
