SANTO DOMINGO. - The National Meteorology Office on Thursday said a low pressure system and a tropical wave will continue to affect most of country with light to moderate rains, except the extreme southern and eastern regions.
It forecasts partly cloudy skies for Santo Domingo and the National District accompanied by isolated showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.
Meteorology also reports the approach of two low pressure zones; the first around 1,360 kilometers northeast of the Leeward Islands and the second around 320 kilometers east of the Lesser Antilles, but noted that it’s unlikely either of the systems develop into a storm.

When don't we get..."partly cloudy skies for Santo Domingo and the National District accompanied by isolated showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind."?
Plus...when is a front located 1,360km's to our northeast and heading north-northeast considered to be "approaching"?
Like many positions here...one has to wonder of the qualifications of the people in charge.
relax tranquilo hermano what is wrong with this news piece? I am very interested in weather news for the DR in English even if it is trivial in one's opinion, and I am sure there are other weather geeks like myself who find these weather articles interesting. So chill out and give those in charge a benefit of the doubt.
