Santo Domingo.– The Antinarcotics Agency (DNCD) today announced it dismantled a ring of drug dealers who invested more than US$50 million in real aimed at money laundering.
According to DNCD officials, the network which involves Colombian Germain Miguel Arroyo Salgado, bought extensive holdings in tourism and real estate projects –in the eastern region of the country–, over one hundred apartments, luxury cars and boats.
In addition to Arroyo Salgado, the police also arrested Colombian Gabriel Leon Soriano and Dominican Amanda Conde Sosa.
Agents also told the press the network of drug trafficking also operated in Puerto Rico, Miami, Colombia and Venezuela, using the Dominican territory as a bridge to carry drugs to the United States.
