SANTIAGO. - A parrot and its alleged revelations on a murder has become the talk of the city, and have even led to the bird’s arrest and detention in the Central Police Command.
The bird has reportedly cited the names of several people who may be involved in the death of Carmen Altagracia Castillo, 60, a Dominican-Italian whose decomposed body was found Thursday in her residence of the sector Los Reyes.
Prior to the parrot’s capture the victim’s relatives affirmed that they had to protect it because it was in the residence when the crime occurred.
The Police said several people are being questioned but deny that the parrot is revealing names of possible perpetrators.

Only in the DR would I believe this would be possible. Probably the "number one witness" as well and can't even be paid off. Mmmmmm????

Parrots only repeat what they hear, they do not recall sounds or have memory. This stupid arrest on an innocent bird, just proves how irrelevant the "three stooges like" authorities in charge are.
Next we will have a monkey as a judge and a donkey as the main prosecution witness.

Will the parrot have acccess to booze, sex, and drugs? When trial comes, will probably been let out on bond of a couple of crackers and will never come back.

The Parakeets became rare by the 1880s. Incas, a Carolina Parakeet in the Cincinnati Zoo died in 1918. The last reported sighting in the wild was a small flock Florida in 1920. It was declared extinct by the American Ornithologists Union in 1939.
