New York.– President Leonel Fernandez met with leaders and foreign ministers from different countries, in the framework of the UN General Assembly with the goal of strengthening relations with the Dominican Republic.

The President met with Qatar's Emir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to review the agenda of interests between the two countries.

Also present were Dominican Republics's first lady Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez, the wife of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikha Muza Bint Nasser, and the Dominican Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso.
