Santo Domingo.- Immigration director Sigfrido Pared today Friday announced the implementation of a system to digitally obtain fingerprints for the identification of passengers with their photo and prevent the escape of fugitives.
He said the system will be operational in all Dominican airports, with the support of the Electoral Board and the Passports Agency.
The official said the digital fingerprints and photos with modern cameras already installed yesterday would determine if the identity of the person who approaches the Immigration check is the one authenticated by their documents. “With the implementation of this system we complete a cycle that we had sought for a long time and also places us at the level of other nations.”
The Immigration Director said the goal is to totally control the entry and exit of Dominicans and foreigners by 20ll and prevent the use of forged documents by criminals to evade persecution.
Pared said the new system to be installed in all terminals, ports and border crossings will be first implemented with Dominicans. “With this new system there will be stricter migratory controls and we will also keep people who have broken the law and get fake documents from leaving the national territory.”

they should set one up by the border and start collecting finger prints overthere
As a 23 year old I have always noticed the demographic changes when I would visit la Isla annually throughout my childhood. The sad case is that we are being out-breeded. Both countries holding about ten million citizens on each side on a island with a limited number of resources. Please take into consideration that does not include the illegal Haitian immigrants that are currently in the Republic.
My brothers and sisters this is not about purifying but perserving.
Some of you can look in the mirror right now and ask yourselves
do you want to live in such land? Where your daughters are no
longer safe? Where law has no order? Everything behind metal
bars? More sexual deviance introduced into our youth culture?
Stand up Dominican brother!
The time has come.

This has nothing to do with tracking "criminals" and everything to do with creating the beginnings of police state - where all are tracked all the time - eventually the ability to travel will be severely restricted.
This is about restricting the freedoms of all of us and nothing to do with protecting anyone - the "we are protecting you" line is always a ruse.
so know we'll all be fingerprinted like criminals..... - stupid sheeple !!!
