Santo Domingo.- The inmate Sobeida Felix affirmed Friday that the Najayo prison authorities have limited her civil rights by curtailing her freedom of movement within the jail.
Felix, the main defendant in the case of the Puerto Rican narcotics trafficker and murder convict Jose Figueroa August, said those restrictions have also affected the relations with her relatives. She said she cannot communicate with her children and is only allowed to speak with them for just one hour each day, but by a penitentiary telephone and in the presence of two guards.
She denied communicating frequently with her paramour Figueroa, as the media have reported.
In that regard her lawyer Felix Portes denounced that his client is harassed in that jail.

What were this woman's concerns when she had the liberty to decide to live the fast life with criminals, thumbing her nose at the law, and run from the authorities? It was a decision of self imposed restrictions in trade for the fast life that took her away from normal family relations.
