Santo Domingo.- The current Electoral Board (JCE) president Julio Cesar Castaños Guzmán formalized his request to the Senate to remain in that entity, along with 16 other candidates.

The list incluyes Porfirio Veras, Nerys Altagracia Valerio, Julian Elías Nolasco, Pedro Antonio Mateo, Gloria Rosalía Mejía, Marino Luis Alvarez, Ramon Agramonte, Jose Luis Tavárez, Rosa Estrella and Genaro Alberto Silvestre.

Also on the list are Omar Rafael Miguel, Miguel Angel Luna, Ramón Martínez Portorreal, Gerardo Polonia Belliard, Juan Bautista Félix, Bienvenida Gómez Echavarría, Ramon Martinez Portorreal, Gerald Poland Belliard, Juan Bautista Felix and Bienvenida Gomez.

The deadline for the hopefuls to submit their CVs expires September 14, when the Special Senate Commission will evaluates the proposals and the chosen would then be submitted for approval  by the Senate.

Pre-requisite for the post.
1) Able to look the other way.
2) High level of previous corruption activity for which they were never found guilty of.
3) Give more money than before to the election parties.
