SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers with thunderstorms and wind gusts in the East, Northeast, Southeast and Central Mountain regions for today Tuesday.

It said other localities may also expect rain as the remnants Tropical Storm Gastón continue approaching the eastern coast starting tonight and early tomorrow.

Onamet also forecasts that the storm’s cloudbank will continue its speedy westward track.

The Miami based National Hurricane Center reports that Gastón has a low potential for redeveloping into a tropical storm within the next 24 to 48 hours.
