Santo Domingo.- Israel Ambassador at Large in the country, Yair Recanati, affirmed Tuesday that the success of US president Barack Obama’s mediation for peace between his nation and Palestine will depend on the latter’s control over the groups opposed to the process in that territory.

The diplomat said despite the American chief executive’s best intentions to reach peaceful agreement in the region, Obama’s top priority is to solve his country’s problems, aside from that he doesn’t have time to get the Arab leaders world’s together with those of Israel.

Interviewed in the El Dia morning program, Recanati noted that the Palestinian groups Hamas and Fatah, since their creation have stated their anti-Semitism, for which that nation is handicapped to seek peace with Israel, as occurred 10 years ago when then president Bill Clinton mediated in the conflict. “(Yasser) Arafat, after long debates in Camp David, couldn’t sign the agreements which had been reached, of want of control of the anti-Semitic groups nor the strategic will to ratify an agreement of understanding.”

You cannot make peace with people who want to annihilate you. Israel has shed the Sinai,West Bank, and finally Gaza and the enemy only moves the missiles closer!

Do you all realize that in one way or another ALL wars, skirmishes, Have been caused by religious beliefs through out history!! It makes you wonder!!

Jamien ,do you know that most wars have been for money and power and that religion has been one of the excuses used ?

Did you know that the atheist communist regimes killed over 140 million people in less than half a century?

The multiple Haitian invasions of Dominican territory and the slaughter of innocents had nothing to do with religion!

I could go on and on ,I laugh every time I hear people repeat like sheep that wars are caused by religion because with the exception of islam most wars are caused by the rejection of the tenets of the faith!

The problem in the Middle East has to do with NATIONAL SURVIVAL for Israel not religion.

u know these folks that live in israel face death every single day of their lives.
for sure they don't scare that easy.i met a few young men and women that where in the army in israel in brooklyn years ago i told them to be careful at night many crazy people roam the streets looking for trouble. they said really! trouble, they will find all the trouble they want if they mess with us. in broookly they run around in gangs theses people are used to having bombs blow up in their face almost each and every day of their lives. the punks that roam the streets looking for an easy mark do not have a clue what its really all about.

The specific crusades to restore Christian control of the Holy Land were fought over a period of nearly 200 years, between 1095 and 1291. Other campaigns in Spain and Eastern Europe continued into the 15th century.
NOT FOR MONEY WHERE THE CRUSADES AND IT LASTED FOR MORE THEN 200YEARS.
