J. Perez Feliz. Learning to dodge questions.
SANTO DOMINGO. - Armed Forces minister Joaquin Perez Felix denied on Wednesday that the radar brought recently from Israel to control the airspace and halt drug airdrops isn’t functioning.
Speaking via telephone to the journalists who covered the ceremony to mark the 171st anniversary of the birth of Independence Restoration hero general Gregorio Luperón, said he had issued orders to the Air Force Chief of Staff to issue a press release with explanations.
Afterward, through an assistant, the official said he would receive the reporters shortly, but didn’t return after 42 minutes, prompting the journalists to leave.
