Santo Domingo.– Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) presidential candidate Danilo Medina condemned the lack of job opportunities young people have in the Dominican Republic, especially those seeking their first job.
When proclaimed as the Dominican Workers' Party (PTD) candidate, Medina said 56% of young people do not get employment, including those with post graduate degrees.
"Seven to ten of those with post graduate degrees, here and abroad, do not get jobs, or they are asked to provide experience. But what 'damn experience' if they are looking for their first job!," he said emphatically.
He acknowledged that the country is producing significant human capital, but it is to benefit first worls nations due to the lack of opportunities here.

Danny will have to start criticizing Leo for no giving education its due share of the budget, else he will find himself losing to an idiot again!

What a shame Danilo is associated with LF the SNAKE. Danilo is a well educated, well spoken, intelligent man with vision. BUT, can he rid himself of the LF stench? That is a question. LF has been the most despicable leader ever. Mejia is no saint but quality of life issues were 100 times better when HM was president.
LF is a disgusting horrible low life who deliberately allowed the criminal element to run free.
I hope LF rots in hell with his insipida wife on top of him. They both disgust me.

If these guys didn't steal from the public coffers, and they all do, then there would be money to pay these unemployed.
Corruption breeds corruption.

It is disheartening, dreadful and disappointing that all we have to choose from are a pair of clowns that will continue the prevailing conditions and long-standing policies of the LF government!
I don't believe for a moment that Medina will be any better than His boss. He'll continue the same favoritism and cronyism as ever. He'll favor those that got him in govt regardless of intellectual competence or skill to do the job assigned.
On the other hand, you have the Hippo. a proven burro with no skills whatsoever. You need only look up his prior governmental record to know this meat-head isn't fit to run his mouth, much less, a govt.....I'm not voting for anyone. I'll wait 'till the next one!

All these years as a PLD member and now is the time meddling-medina criticizes on the lack of job opportunity for the youths. The courts should dismantle those two parties on principal only.......

YEAH Roberto Jose. Yes it is time to get rid of both PLD & PRD

I make a national call for protest. The people must refuse to vote for the traditional political parties otherwise, we will repeat the same thing over and over again. It does not matter which one goes to power or who will will get elected. Any one of those two knuckle heads will be incompetent.
So PLEASE VOTE but do NOT VOTE for the PLD or PRD. just vote for any minority party member on the ballot. Guillermo Moreno gets my vote even if he does not win, it will be my vote of protest. And I think everyone should do the same. This would be the only way we can teach these bastards a lesson!!!

PS-Carmen Reyes stated above that Danilo is well spoken...............?
"Danilo is a well educated, well spoken, intelligent man with vision...."
Oh really? I remember they use to call him "el muerto."
I think he lacks carisma and his oratory skills are pitiful.......Just does not have the qualities
of leadership. He might be a good manager, but what the DR needs today is a MAN who wears the pants, have control and can take the bull by the horn. Danilo just does not make the cut.

guillermone,
Maybe the Dominican Republic needs a woman to wear the pants this time? There seem to be many making names for themselves like in the judiciary, at a young age. Most of the university graduates are women too.
As far as lack of employment is concerned, it will not get better until there is more foreign investment and that won't happen while the country is rife with crime and corruption, and basic infrastructure is lacking. If employers are asking for graduates with experience, then maybe these applicants are expecting to walk straight in to a CEO position, or their qualifications are suspect? Many here are.

Last sunday (16/10) we saw this man Danilo in Charamicos defiling with his campaign crew and they all did the sign L (for Leo Fernandez ?) with their hand ( with thumb and Index) when parading in their 4 X 4 and providing caps to everybody.
And damn this guy is old !!! He looks very more younger on the pictures (photoshop miracle). I'm afraid that if he is elected he'll finish off what Ladron First has already started : corruption, more drugs, more poverty, less education ==> The full package of a 1/3 world country, very annoying because the DR is a very beautiful country but people suffer a lot...

Danilo looks tired and worn out. His personality lacks any sort of dynamism. I just don't see how this guy can be an effective leader. In what way will he be an inspiration to the Dominican Rep. I don't know about you but I just can't see it.
