Santo Domingo. - After a hearing lasting more than four hours, Altagracia Province Permanent Attention Court ordered the “pure and simple” release of U.S. fugitive Winston Rizik Rodriguez, accused of murdering two men in the parking lot of a cockfight arena in Higüey (east).

Interim judge Cindy Ramirez ruled that the Justice Ministry’s accusation is “reckless, unfounded and devoid of evidence.”.

Rizik, who escaped from a United States jail where he was serving time on a drug trafficking conviction, is accused of gunning down Amador Cabrera Sanchez and Carlos Jiménez Silvestre (Papi Chiva).

He was arrested several weeks ago in his farm in Haina (south), charged with the murder and dismemberment of two men, but was also set free on lack of proof.

This is a truly amazing story ,,The courts in the DR have refused to allow his extradition back to the USA where he escaped from a prison , refused to keep him in jail and released him without bail on the chage of murdering and dismembering two young men near San Cristobel and now has been released by an Interin Judge in Higuey on the charge of murdering two other men
Either the police here are not presenting their cases well enough in court or his lawyer is a genius with a bag of money to back him up.

In the USA, he will stay in prison until the full investigation is over...... Something is wrong here, who locked him up in the first place, he/she should be questioned just for clowning around.

Ever notice how they always assign dangerous and or controversial cases to Interim Judges?

Alright Cindy Ramirez., ven aca. I know you have been cleaning the toilets in the courthouse for several weeks now. We like how you work so we decided to promote you to an interim judge position. The fellow who was to hear this important case came down with a sudden bout of anxiety and panic attack and needs to be replaced. This will be your chance to shine.

Repeat after me: "An acquittal will cost US$ 300.000.00 + expenses. Cash only in small unmarked bills."

Another travesty of justice on the list. Our government is a joke.
