Santo Domingo.- Police spokesman Maximum Báez called the group “Popular Resistance Duartiana” a criminal and terrorist organization, after it took credit for spraying with bullets and firebombing the office of Duarte province (central) senator Amílcar Romero early Friday.

He said the group issued a statement on the incident, and that an investigation is underway. “We’re going to work and widen the investigation until all members of that organization are in jail.”

Unidentified gunmen some with assault rifles fired on the offices of the legislator in the city of San Francisco de Macorix early Friday, and dropped an incendiary device into to a truck parked in front.

The dominican government has a lot to learn, bunch of rookies...

How do any of youzz know whether or not all this wasn't created by the government to distract the people from their real plan...... Just keep an eye on leonel and watch what he does in the next few months

Funny how the culprits waited for the place to be empty. Has anyone looked into the victims financials to make sure it wasn't drug related.

Strategically.... my klick would never take the blame for something that entitles the government to hunt your group down with not too many places to hide and only 1 way out and that's through haiti.

Let's put pieces together:

1. San Francisco de Macoris is very famous in drug business.
2. Gunmen did that because of the big dispute, hate..etc. What oculd cause that? Obviously-- Money is the answer.
3. The senator in SFDM could be: Either he is so Justice person and want to clean up SFDM or he is underground involved in the illegal business and , enough money went to him but no results at all.

So, go figure and take a look the photo of the Senator, does he look like an honest and serious guy?

Terrorists? LOL!! look who's talking! Funny, that thugs have the audacity to label a group as terrorists. Gee, I wonder why did the Duartenios exists? Maybe because the ones that are labeling them as terrorists are the ones that's been screwing the pueblo for years eh?

THINK yes you are correct ,,San Francisco seems to attract these sorts of extreme actions and you may remember that either last year or the year before a basball game against los Toros was cancelled because of the violence in that city ,,,,a pity because it is an attractive place
