HATO MAYOR, Dominican Republic.- A woman complained Friday that she has been carrying a dead fetus in her uterus for four days but has been refused treatment in the local hospital.

Sileni Alvarez said fears dying from infection since two checkups conducted in the Leopoldo Martinez hospital reveal that the fetus has been decomposing. “They don’t pay any attention to me and I’m afraid of dying and leaving two children orphaned.”

And despite that the young woman showed sonic tests that certify the fetus’ death and begged the doctors not to let her die, she has yet to be hospitalized, reports newspaper El Nuevo Diario.

Such a common occurrence, in these cases a simple dosage of Pitusin will provoke the walls of the uterus to contract and expel the fetus keeping the mother safe. The longer they take the more risk the mother is in contracting an infection prompting a histerectomy

Thousands of illegals get free emergency medical treatment in the Dominican Republic , but unfortunately one of our own is not worthy enough to continue living.

The only thing she has to do is travel to the city of Santo Domingo, about a 1 1/2 hour trip and seek emergency treatment there, instead of going to the media and causing such a stir.

Hippocratic Oath, excerpts ......

"I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required"

"I will remember that I remain a member of society with special obligations to all my fellow human beings"

Guess in the case of this woman the doctors at Leopoldo Martinez hospital took the Hypocritic oath. Shame on them.

If one is poor in this country you are ignored.

This is a propaganda story ..I do not believe there is one public hospital in Hato Mayor or in San Pedro de macoris who would refuse this woman attention , We may be a poor countru but we do have some compassion to people who genuinely need help .
