Santo Domingo.- The Presidency’s Antinarcotics adviser Wednesday said U.S. Undersecretary of State for Narcotics and Security William Brownfield’s statement that Dominican Republic would confront a dangerous situation with drug trafficking within two years, didn’t go far enough.

Marino Vinicio Castillo (Vincho) called Brownfield’s declarations erroneous, because in his view the country is already dealing with that situation.

He said Hipolito Mejia’s Administration (2000-2004) opened Dominican Republic’s airports to international drug trafficking, and asked the diplomat and American society to review Washington’s antinarcotics policy toward Dominican Republic and Latin America.

I have not known of one occasion when Vincho did not blame other people yet , during his period as Antinarcotics advisor , we have seen a huge increase in drug trafficing , a rise in associated murders and a enormous collection of anti drug officers who have been exposed as being corrupt ,We have also seen a key figure gain employment in the offices of the President .
If Vincho had any honour at all , he would resign at once and his position should be taken over by some younger, more vital and more aggressive person in destroying this horrible trade .
We have also , seen through Wikileaks, if you believe what is written there, that Vincho has been playing mischievous games by trying to play judges off against each other and with judicial appointments

Noriega thought the US was clueless too, until the 82 airborne clouded the bright Panamanian skies or was it a t night?

Bin Laden thought the US was clueless until Seal Team 6 delivered the projectile into his frontal lobe.

The US may choose to appear clueless and if you think so, Mr. Vincho, read the Wiki-leaks cable and you will see that the only clueless people are you, Lie-onel and your conveniently blind supporters.

"Ricardolito," say what you will about Vincho, but this is an incredibly shrewd political statement he's making on behalf of his party -- which is undoubtedly going to be engaged in a tough political fight over the course of the next year. This is political rhetoric at its best. This tactic is straight out of the Carl Rove and Dick Cheney political book. One can't say those guys aren't learning something.

Our corrupt government lives off the drug money. Our economy has survived the recession a few years ago because of all the drug money entering into the country to be hidden by building and buying assets. We are infested with it.
