Santo Domingo.- An alleged bomb threat had caused tension in the area around the US Embassy in the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, where Police SWAT and Special Operations teams had cordoned off the site at Leopoldo Navarro and Cesar Nicolas Penson streets.
Two Police generals were inside the embassy, though no official information on the alleged threat have been issued.
The threat was originally reported as against the offices of the US Consulate a few blocks west on Penson St, but the operation is now being wrapped up at the Embassy.

You really need to draw back on your anti "Lie-onel" rhetoricals in most of all your comments, as you are going to be perceived as the likes of Chicken Litttle of "The Sky is Falling" fame. Your credibility is questionable when you do so, the context of your message is lost. There are posts where you can be quite candid and rational. However, your comments faulting the presidente for the ills described within subject matter of the news article is messed up. Yes, he can be faulted at times, but not all the time.
