Santo Domingo.- Police Antinarcotics Department (DICAN) agents detained two people for questioning in relation to alleged Puerto Rican drug baron Miguel Rivera Diaz, whose quite demeanor in a quiet Dominican Republic slum hid what reports from his country describe as a ruthless murderer.
Puerto Rico police files show that Rivera went to a discotheque with a machine gun and executed a rival kingpin, and also injured two women.
The alleged murderer and trafficker was the brother of Angel Rivera Diaz (Angelito), killed gangland style in Puerto Rico. Angelito received drug shipments in Puerto Rico, sent by Miguel in speedboats and private jets from Dominican Republic, and also coleted the money from the sales in their country.
Upon finding out of his little brother’s death, Miguel Rivera traveled to Puerto Rico, went to the funeral with a group of bodyguards which arrived from Santo Domingo and to avenge his younger brother’s death "El Bolo," "El Loco," or "El Boricua" - as he’s also known- ordered the murder of two people who were tortured and then burned alive, and whose bodies were found near Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
Rivera figured among the U.S. Department of Justice’s 10 most wanted.
Seized in the case thus far figure several houses, one in construction, and three cattle farms.
When arrested the Puerto Rican alleged drug baron was living in a quite slum in the western sector of Santo Domingo.
