SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) on Friday dishonorably discharged, in front of their colleagues, two enlistees and two captains, whom its director Rolando Rosado called drug traffickers’ associates, "who betrayed the confidence placed on them.”

The official headed a general formation with all the agents to announce the decision against the captains Rafael Medrano, of the Police, and Vladimir Peralta, of the Army; Navy Chief Petty officer Marcelino Mora Diaz, and Army corporal Pedro Antonio Nova.

"We’re removing you from here dishonorably and in front of all the personnel because you don’t deserve to form part of this institution. You’ve betrayed our principles and for that reason, with all regret, we’re expelling you," Rosado said in a statement to the press.

Medrano was assigned to the DNCD in Miches where he was allegedly shaking down "heads of drug sale points" to allow them to sell narcotics, whereas Peralta is accused of stealing eight packages of cocaine in the Las Americas International Airport’s cargo terminal.

The DNCD said Peralta is also linked to the disappearance of eight of 58 packages of cocaine found last week in the airplane owned by Puerto Rican pilot Santos Seda Rodriguez, whose body was found beaten and with one shot to the back of the neck on the Higuey-San Rafael del Yuma highway one day later.

As to the enlistees, Rosado said "integrity tests” conducted on them by Internal Affairs determined that they were also shaking down drug pushers and “we acted immediately, we’re requesting that their respective branches revoke their commissions."

"Hear me well, those who get into wickedness while I’m in front of the DNCD be prepared, they’ll be drummed out of here the same way, in general formation so that it serves as an example to all personal," he said, and revealed that one of those expelled joined the Agency the same day he was assigned the post.

Although the statement didn’t specify whether the four will brought up on charges, Rosado revealed that the four are being held in the jail of the DNCD compound.

The dominican republic is run by puppets and cowards , the day the dominican republic makes a real economic and social impact , is the day when we see the first pig fly in the sky.

Danny00,
Your reading comprehension is below any means of calculation. Obviously, you have no idea what Josean wrote and much less what he meant. You should just not respond to anyone about anything, not only because you simply don't understand what it is they are saying but more importantly, we don't understand what you are saying either.

In other DNCD news:

A really example of the Christmas spirit to warm your heart:

“DNCD returned the plane were the1, 077 kilos of drugs were found at La Romana Airport to the owner, without revealing his name”

“DNCD confirms that the thousand 077 of drugs were confiscated in the interior of the aircraft, but does not explain why the aircraft was returned and is in a private hangar at the airport of the Higüero, and not on the Air Base of San Isidro, where seized aircraft involved with narcotics are kept.”

Does anyone know which member of the PLD's Political Committee might own an aircraft of this type?

Ah, but this gets better:

"In addition, the DNCD released all military and Dominican civilian prisoners arrested during the investigations, including the pilot of the aircraft and the driver that transported the drugs from Santo Domingo to La Romana, according to a confidential source consulted by Acento.com.do inside the DNCD."

"Although reporters have insisted on knowing the name of the person or company that owns the aircraft, the DNCD authorities continue hiding it."

No wonder Rosado put on this show allegedly "humiliating" these 4 scapegoats today in an effort to divert attention from this!

Name the planes owner and start executing this trash or nothing will change. Hopefully the US and other countries hear about this crime and get the names. Then extradite them so they can be punished in a country with laws.

Shoosh ,Veronica keep it quite please!

I know you're well intentioned, but we don't want to scare the tourist away with, truth, transperancy and a call for law and order.

Aslo, you going to scare those intrested in money laundering from coming here.

When DNCD publicly announced the news with those dishonored guys in front of public view, I am just wondering "IS THIS HELP TO STOP THE CORRUPTIONS?

My answer is "NO", the roots of people's tendency to corrupt are not fixed, do this kind clean up from top government officials first.........

Folks notice how the high and mighty defenders of the government, who pontificate on its economic success, who attack those of us that try to point out the REAL reality of what is going on in METROLANDIA avoid coming to news items like these to defend the “Honor” of the Purple Narco Plague.

They are so relentless in attacking us as being anti-progress, ant-modernization, ant-tourism of attempting to ruin the economy with our commitment to speak truth to power, yet they say nothing about these criminals that do more damage to the country in one second that the allege damage they claim we do in a year of posting comments.

If fact some are so CRAZY to defend this Failed Narco State that they advocate for the “benefits” of money laundering.

They are no better than these hypocrites and cowards!

Oddly enough Josean...did a search on the registration # of the aircraft....certainly is not a transatlantic 19 passenger plane...more like a 2 seater experimental craft....but then again...who here in immigration or at the airports would bother to inventory and check registration numbers....
