SANTIAGO.- The Presidency’s Adviser on Drugs Thursday revealed the presence of powerful structure of hired killers working for drug trafficking in the country, which can attack officials, especially of the judicial area, who handle delicate cases related to drug trafficking.

Marino Vinicio Castillo cited Monday’s assault against Supreme Court Justice Julio Aníbal Suarez, calling it “extremely grave,” and that those structures can just as well proceed against journalists who confront the country’s drug trafficking. "That incident (the assault on Suarez) is extremely grave, and must draw our attention, because powerful structures of contract killers at the service of drug trafficking exist in the country which are ready to act against judges, Justice Ministry officials and journalists, who fight that activity in diverse ways.”

The official, speaking with journalists prior to the launch of the National Ethics and Anticorruption Commission’s Campaign for “Transparency and Values,” added a warning to reporters. "You, the journalists, could also be the targets of the structures of contract killers that operate in the country at the service of drug trafficking, for which you must protect yourselves and be on the alert.”

If he "revealed the presence of powerful structure of hired killers working for drug trafficking in the country" one can only assume he knows who they are and took this opportunity to issue a not so veiled warning to journalists to keep their noses out of this business or face the consequences!

Time to crack some heads. No sense in playing nice with these gangs. They only understand the language of violence and power. Show them you control both structures and they have but to conform to your dictates or get out and try to get the upper hand somewhere else.

its all CRAP they throw out. NOW THIS IS THE WAY ITS REALLY DONE IN A REAL COUNTRY.

one real strong lesson for all in REAL DEMOCRACY. how this looms large, very large.
ISRAEL just sentence their ex-president to serve 7 years in PRISON. for RAPE. and now the ARAB countries "LEADERS are SHAKING in their boots and killing PEOPLE because ISRAEL is SHOWING the WAY a DEMOCRACY really should work. HOW MANY LEADERS, or for that matters U.S.leaders, have the FORTITUDE to charge a person in office of WRONG-DOING?. seems as though AS THE CULPRITS GET REWARED IN STEAD.

"The Presidency’s Adviser on Drugs...."
MR. Marino Vinicio Castillo, The best suggestion you can ever give to Lie-onel is changing the law of punishment of drug related activities.

If there are capital punishment, life sentence.....I am sure, and I can guarantee the drug activities will be dramatically decreased.

Only talk, only talk.....never help.

The title of the story should be; Marino Vinicio Castillo hired by the drug cartel as their PR Dominican official.

Waste of time and effort until the corruption within our own police, military, and government is dealt with who do you think is involved with many of the hired killers? Plenty of them are our own police and military.
