AGUADILLA, Puerto Rico.– Between Sunday and this morning, 23 aliens, claiming to be Cuban citizens, landed in both Mona Island and Monito Island after entering illegally into United States territory.
On Sunday Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Border Patrol Agents were notified by Park Rangers of the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources of an incursion of a group of 9 alleged alien Cubans that arrived in Mona Island from the Dominican Republic.
Today at noon, the Ramey Border Patrol Station received a call from the United States Coast Guard reporting an incursion on Monito Island.
USCG Cutter Key Largo stated that 14 subjects, 11 males and 3 females, had made landfall in the early morning hours, and identified themselves as Cuban nationals.
USCG Cutter Key Largo transferred the group to the Mayaguez Port where Border Patrol Agents assumed custody and transported the Ramey Border Patrol Station to conduct the appropriate immigration interviews.
After admissibility processing at the Border Patrol Station, the 23 Cuban adults will receive a Notice to Appear (NTA) before an Immigration Judge, for further proceedings under the Cuban Migration Agreement of 1995 and the Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966.

you left me no choice, el buscoon, but i must give my opinion on this matter. i once held very high opinions about castro & the cuban revolution. but brother , you have to look at reality- the revolucion is dead. you have a goverment in cuba that is a gerontocracy. revolution meant change not stagnation.

You all can say whatever you want. Your papi Fidel has kept things in the balance, at equilibrium. The USA would have sent the world to $hit, had it not been for the existence of your papi Fidel. Many, many people in Cuba respect and revere Fidel. Not everybody in the USA loves Obama. Get over it! Cuban government is changing for the better, while the USA government has always been changing for the worse. The "revolucion" was won. Fidel exists because he won. Naturally, I always recommend people to use their own ideas rather than borrowing ideas from Carl Marx or ideas from the USA. No, I am not kidding! Don't use your head as a hat rack. Don't use your head as your own personal tampon, LOL. Use your head for genuine thought, for creative thinking. Be mindful of the truth. Yes. We know that many people in Cuba are also unhappy. Maybe it is time for other countries to me more supportive of Cubans in general. Let's go to Cuba to visit our brothers and sisters and stop talking nonsense!

I have no problem with the Cuban people. No dough Fidel won....what ? At the price of the Cuban people.
"Fidel exists because he won" The Cuban people should decide their own destiny if only given the chance not through a dictatorship.
"Many people in Cuba respect and revere Fidel" they have no choice.
I believe a free Cuba would give the DR and other Country's a run for their money as far as tourism and exports, the Cuban people and Cuba would benefit greatly.
I wonder how much is spent on the Cuban military instead of it's people ?
I admire Obama I just don't agree and will never with his policy's both foreign and domestic thats all.
Nobody likes to be insulted, if I'm proven wrong GOOD.

@ Riosm - What Fidel did as leader decades ago is worthy of admiration. Here is something for you my friend: without Fidel there would be no Cuba and there would be no Cubans. William Levy would not exist today for the ladies out there, ha ha ha. But do you get my point? There would be no Cuban people without Fidel. Without Fidel, Cuba would just be another filthy extension of Washington D.C. I should be running from the USA and maybe I will soon. The USA did not spend money on its military like Cuba has; the USA has spent MORE, LOL. At "our expense", how many trillions were wasted just to capture Osama Bin Laden! I would have found him myself with about a million dollars. He was not going to go very far anyway. People as such want to be close to home. Next time they want to find an "alleged" criminal, they can ask me, LOL. You have been proven wrong. Maybe I should seek asylum in Cuba because the USA is hurting us economically. This is funny, but it might become a reality soon.

Kaliman,
Nobody argues what Fidel did decades ago it's what he's done after the Cuban victory.
Cuba at the moment has an opportunity to prosper in many ways. An example: China / Russia.
I don't believe for a moment Cuba is in any way shape or form a threat to the U.S national security, I'm sure if the fear from reprisals from the Cuban Gov. were removed many Cuban Americans would jump at the chance.
I'm against and have always been against the idea of the U.S being the police of the world. The U.S needs to concentrate on the U.S.
Is the DR another extension of the U.S ? The DR has a long way to go I'll admit but still she prospers unlike many Latin American Country's today.
The focus should be....what we have in common not what makes us different.
Prez. "Oh'No" has done more harm to the U.S economy in the last 2 1/2 years since the Cater years.
At least you have the freedom to seek asylum in Cuba via another Country, who knows you might post from Cuba

First of all how can these rats writing here in favor of fidel castro can justify the pain and suffering caused to the cuban families over 50 years of oppression and abuse. What will you guys say to the thousands of mothers that have lost their love ones trying to escape the hell out of cuba is or even worst perished in the cuban jails suffering tortures and unthinkable conditions.
It is very easy to defend a system when you are not affected by it. Putting aside any of the well known failures of the so call revolution, how can anyone defend a dictatorship that has lasted as long as this on has.

@ Rainman or "mouse" or "rat", what are we? LOL. We all know about oppression. Hell, I am living it right now. And, I'll bet my life right now that you will know in the very near future what I am talking about. My friend, my friend, from a WORLD VIEW, the fact that Fidel exists has saved millions of lives, more than the ones that have been sacrificed. You really need to look a lot deeper into this social, historical fact. He has maintained a balance in the Americas. I will live by this and I will hold my sword tightly on this one my friend. I have been basically in prison for the past 10 years because of racism, sexism (hatred against fathers) and (religious persecution) because I have a BA in World Religions and a BA in Philosophy. I should be rewarded for these things instead, as any human being should be after some such accomplishments. Believe me, I do know about suffering from oppression & ignorance. I lost EVERYTHING, including my retirement $$ by age 33 and I am barely 43 now.

Kaliman want to have a debate lets have it.
How do you justify a regimen that is in power for over five decades regardless of ideology?, how do you justify people in jail for the mere fact that they think different? lets talk religion freedom Are you ignoring the fact that your leader exiled all priests from Cuba as early as 1960? If you practice the Jehova's witness faith in Cuba you are consider a traitor and discriminated against, but you didnt know that did you ?
I like you to tell me how long do you think you will be free if you dare stand in a public forum (street) in Cuba and say anything against the government or fidel or you already forgot what happened to Pamfilo who was arrested and only after the pressure from the international community was released and of course he was called crazy for saying the truth.
And please dont call me friend it offends me coming from someone like you who defends the same system that kept my father in jail for 9 years and killed my uncle.

Rainman,
Sorry about your loss and Family hardships.
The Cuban have been suppressed for so long they wouldn't know the difference, funny have you noticed those who support Fidel don't live in Cuba yet post from a broad.
Those who support Fidel in Cuba have no choice, those are the ones who benefit from the Castro regime and stand to lose their position.
I say......those who love their Papi Fidel should show some real love by going back to Cuba, Cuba needs you now more then ever.
I'll repeat I don't hate Cubans or Cuba I just don't agree with the Fidel social system it has done more harm then good for the Cuban people, making / keeping enemy's through fear ? To justify their totalitarian system !
Man has the GOD given Human right to choose his own destination for him self and his Family not to be controlled / dictated by any government.

Thank you for your sympathy I just cant stand it when people talk bad about a country that allowed them to coming and take advantage of the endless possibilities while defending the system that made them run away from their own homeland.
A man that defends a system should have the courage of standing by it and stay within or else it is a very convenient way of activism. I am one against any dictatorship of any kind and as Much as I love the United States of America if the government becomes a dictatorship (very unlikely) I will be the first one against it .

In America I still believe anyone willing to sacrifice through hard work and dedication can make it, America still is a land of opportunity like no other nation in the world.
I am also against any dictatorship, of any kind. As I see it America in the last 2 1/2 years America has been slowly turning the dictator route with more and more gov. regulations and control.
