Santo Domingo.- National District prosecutor Alejandro Moscoso will at 10 a.m. today interrogate Army lieutenant colonel (R) Jose Francisco Rodriguez, whom the money laundering defendant Leavy Nin Batista testified that he gave a National Investigation Department (DNI) card to the Puerto Rican murder convict Jose Figueroa Agosto.

On Friday Moscoso interrogated Central Electoral Board official Ingrid Alexandra Rodriguez, who allegedly provided two false cedulas for Nin, one with the name Fior Jansen and the one for other Figueroa, with the name Cristian Almonte.

He also questioned the ex legal consultant of the National Drugs Council, Sonya Uribe, whom the defendant Sobeida Felix accused of forming part of Figueroa’s money laundering network, eight of which are on trial.

Felix, in her plea deal testimony in the First Collegiate Court, said Uribe had received from the also defendant Mery Peláez an SUV, for the return of her confiscated properties

Uribe admitted buying a Volkswagen SUV for US$35,000 Peláez, but denied wrongdoing, noting that her only relationship with the defendant is that of a neighbor.

Not Good Enough. This was already talked about by Nuria Piera, give us something we don't know...damn KANGAROO COURT. By the time the main government official involved with letting bori do business in DR for such a long time, that person would have enjoyed life and laid to rest by natural causes.

You can do better than that, D.Rep.

Nothing they don't already know will come of out of the examination of these witnesses.

They have been prepped, coached, polished, and no name will come out.

If you want surprise on TV today, watch a novela, not the news.

Common senses, if the guy can run the drug network business in DR for 10 years and every week the financial transactions are few million US dollars, you should know how many government officials involved in? How the banks involved in? How many stupid scape-goats there in DR?

Go get the big fishes who are in charge of this cover up , not the small stupied sacape'goats.....

I never in my wildest dreams ever thought ANYONE would be "prosecuted" in this case. It is all fodder for media covering the continuing drug trade worldwide. There is no difference in major cases in the US. Just wait and see where Figueroa goes when this is finished. hahaha

benwaballs I hope you aren't comparing the US justice or court system to the one in DR or trying to say that they are the same. If you are, you are insane, the US justice system isn't perfect but it is with out question superior to the ridiculous mess of a system in DR. To the US is were all of the major drug kingpins from Mexico, Columbia and DR are sent to. The biggest fear of the farc is to be sent to the US. I hope you are just trying to change the subject because anything else would be insane. There is no justice system in DR I hope we can all agree on that. Please let's be real let's keep the conversation were it belongs on DR.
