Santo Domingo. - Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez Thursday railed the U.S Ambassador’s criticism of the state of Law in the Dominican Republic, affirming that Washington lacks moral authority to do so.
Responding to Raul Izaguirre’s statements in the American Chamber of Commerce event Wednesday, the prelate noted that although he acknowledges that many aspects have to be shored up, the diplomat’s country also has many things to correct.
He said one must have the morals to advise others, especially if the advisor comes from a country which, although democratic, has many things that don’t function well.
Lopez Rodriguez also admits that when he speaks about the United States, he always has points of contention, and affirmed that the U.S. specifically in Arizona, is the only country in the world where an illegal immigrant is treated as a criminal. “I like for the one who’s going to give me advice to have all the authority to do so.”
From: Dominican Republic, Cabrera
I would have thought an "illegal immigrant" is a criminal. If you enter a country illegally you have broken the law and should be expected to be treated as a criminal. Obviously this cardinal does not understand anything about laws and should keep his comments to matters of the church!

The cardinal is the one of many who has the moral authority to speak out against the indignities forced upon the Dominican people by the state. Yet, he is the one seen cozying up to the politicians and then not having the intestinal fortitude to call them out for the lack of morals in their behavior.

There is nothing like having the drug cartels come here, murder, or kidnap someone, and return to Mexico. Bush, Clinton, Bush, now Obama don't care about the borders, nor the crime. A lot of Christians ignore what Jesus actually says in the Bible. They also tend to add things to the actual words to make them say something else. If you honestly and truthfully read the Bible, without adding to it, it is very easy to see that Jesus is not saying that God will think about your prayers. He says God will grant all your prayers. Clearly, God doesn’t grant all prayers and this proves that Jesus was a habitual liar.

Many man made religions do believe that "Darwinian Evolution is an irrefutable scientific reality" without a dough in order to appease the numbers like standing on the middle ground keeping man as a focal point of belief in order to keep the numbers up by side stepping Faith.
If my " belief in justice, compassion, peace, tolerance, preservation of the environment, and Darwinian Evolution" is "giving atheist a bad name" then I doubt other Atheists want a "good" name by your definition.
So how did you miss out on the Rapture? Haven't read the Book of Revelation? It is in the New Testament by the way, not the Old Testament that you Evangelists have such a problem with. Oh I forgot ... Old Testament = Man Made Religion, New Testament = Faith inspired by God!

You mock and ridicule the word of God and the Brethren who believe in God. As I said I'll let the readers on DT decide.
What's really funny about atheist is you mock believers and get bend out of shape when your unable cast dough on true believers, why ?
No one knows the date or time of rapture only God, both the new and old testament are Gods inspired words and laws written by men. Man twists the word of God to benefit and glorify himself not God which ='s man made religion.
Remember that man who predicted 5-21-11 rapture used man's calculations.
Gee! That's what I meant by: déjà vu
