Santo Domingo.- The first draft to reform the statutory law of Dominican Republic’s National Police submitted by the Executive Branch to Congress yesterday cuts the number of top brass from 34 to “only” 20 generals; 75 colonels, 100 lieutenants colonels and 200 majors.
A transitory provision in the text stipulates that the number of those four ranks will have to be reduced in a period no longer than 10 years.
The announced changes come just two days after newspaper Caribe on Tuesday revealed that president Leonel Fernandez had yet to submit to Congress the bill for the National Police Statutory Law, despite announcing it in his State of the Republic speech to the National Assembly on February 27.

Can you first see where they get their money from? And then follow their meteoric ride to wealth.
WAIT....... LET''S THINK ONE MORE TIME.........?
20 Generals on the table, what about the underground generals? How many of them are they?
Do not forget, those underground personnels are close to Lie-onel or other forms close to govrnment officials.....
However, if they allow it to take 10 years that means in 8 or 9 years everyone will have forgotten that there was supposed to be a reduction.
