SANTO DOMINGO. – Dominican music icon Juan Luis Guerra will perform for the first time in London, previous to his tour starting August to present his most recent production "A son de Guerra" (At rhythm of War), his office said in a statement.

Guerra will perform his hits in the HMV Hammersmit Apollo, and will also release some tunes from his latest production in the British capital.

The composer of the major hit “Ojala que llueva café” (I hope it rains coffee) will also perform in Belgium on Saturday, although the statement doesn’t specify the concert site.

The winner of numerous Grammy, Latin Grammy, Billboard, Soberano and other prizes will perform in several concerts before his world tour, slated to begin with two shows August 12 and 13 in Puerto Rico.

He's a great artist and also a great ambassador to the DR.

Certainly makes us look better than fake dreadlocks Rosario or the Pepes.

Not to mention Omega and his suitcases.

Juan Luis Guerra should be appointed PEACE AMBASSADOR OF THE DR, the man is a living legend.

dreads reggaeton music is pretty lousy also , hacks like ivy queen and tego calderon need to hang it up, or better hang themselfs , every reggaeton song i ever heard sounds the same , however i will admit they were some good songs that i like from daddy yankee

one of the problems with reggaeton from the DR artists is that someone forgot to inform them that the vocorder went out of style with Zapp and Roger Troutman.

LMAO I know I still remeber when anthony santos in 2005 started using autotune in one of his songs , that was a desperate move on his part.

the problem, hellborn? no creativity. one guy makes a song, everyone makes one which sounds just like it. that is why every moron sings through a vocorder...because one guy did it. ever see the speakers in the DR. ? they all are covered in that black felt looking thing. why? because one guy made a speaker with it, and everyone else followed. only problem is that it causes air leaks, and you cannot build a serious speaker with it, as quality speakers have to be airtight.
