SANTO DOMINGO. - The Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) arrested an alleged American sex offender and pedophile who fled his country and hid in Dominican Republic.
Edward Earl Sparrow was detained in coordination with U.S. Marshals, and faces sex charges against minors, according to the bench warrant issued by a Hillsborough, North Carolina judge, the antinarcotics agency revealed Thursday.
DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebrón said the American was detained in the parking lot of a bus line in San Francisco (NW), and will be repatriated to the U.S. in the next few hours.

Not enough jails for that. Also in DR it is a pretty common occurrence, the parents (usually a single mother) only object if they are not given money. They only stir the pot if the girl was a senorita, coz that not only means money for the family, but also muebles, estufa, nevera and TV. Sad but true.
