SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) on Tuesday seized 50 packages with 54 kilos of cocaine headed to Madrid, hidden in metal electrical breaker boxes.

The bust occurred aboard Air Europe flight UX-088 at the Las Americas International Airport, and the pa ckages were sent by the company M. V. Electronica, with offices in 30 de Marzo street number 120, in the capital.

DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebrón said RD$34,450 in cash were also seized, and announced the arrest of Carmelo Rosario Ozuna, who allegedly transported the boxes to the airport, and Gregorio Quezada, employee of a company that operates in the freight terminal.

Congratulations to the investigators of the DNCD. How fast they addressed their efforts and revealed the information, including names, on this case. They should act with the same proficiency on big and sounded scandals.

Cocaine going out is much less of a problem than cocaine that is coming in.

Poison the whole shipment and let it go. if there is no costumers left maybe the drug trade will be not profitable.
