Santo Domingo. - Supreme Court president Jorge Subero affirmed Wednesday that the new justices who’ll form the county’s highest tribunal must spur the judicial reform, and that society must know if they are “mediocre.”
Delivering the keynote speech in the church La Paz to mark the current Supreme Court’s 14th anniversary, the Chief Justice affirmed that the process of selection of the new members must be open, public and transparent.
Subero affirmed that the Judiciary was in a state of calamity before its current composition and that the nation must pay attention to the imminent selection process. “It should be known that the good ones who’ll be selected, are good, but if the decision is to elect the mediocre ones, than society should know that they are mediocre.”

Interim judges, partial attention and attention deficit judges.
Judges that make the news fun to read. Like "stabbing your ex to death is not a serious offence and you should not be remanded".
Is he kidding?
Mediocre would be a huge improvement over what we have now.
