Santo Domingo. – The trial against the nine alleged hired killers of the network headed by Puerto Rican drug baron Jose Figueroa Agosto, continued with statements by Madeline Bernard as a witness, in a hearing recessed by her constant sobbing during her testimony Wednesday.

The proceeding in the National District Collegiate Court is the country’s first ever murder-for-hire case, where the accused are charged with at least eight murders.

Bernard said the December 24 attack that claimed the life of her husband Jose Amado González, occurred whey they returned from a beauty parlor upon arriving to the residence, located in the fourth floor of the luxury condo Torre Serena, in the upscale sector Bella Vista.

She said she felt a collision by a vehicle from behind, immediately felt pain in her back and in a leg, which led to her being hospitalized, and it wasn’t until eight months later when she learned of what occurred to her husband.

It was when the prosecutor Candida Ramos was cross-examining her that the weeping became such, that the attorney moved for a 10 minutes recess to calm the witness.

I have no sympathy for those who involved in the drug including this woman.

"It is useless to cry over the spilled milk."., you should know the consequence of the drug business.

I only feel sorry for those good , woking hard Dominicans, they are living in one hopeless life because of the worst performance of Government.

"She said she felt a collision by a vehicle from behind, immediately felt pain in her back and in a leg, which led to her being hospitalized, and it wasn’t until eight months later when she learned of what occurred to her husband. "

This statement makes no sense at all. She did not know for 8 months that her husband was dead???

We should expect her to break down in tears upon being cross-examined. Experiences counsel would shred her to pieces.

The main part of examination in chief was probably very well rehearsed.

I for one can't wait to read her testimony about the ties hubby and fellow military had with Figueroa's organization.

This is obviously a LIE to not testify against these people, she has basically said
that she did not see anything, absolving her of further testifying and or being blamed
for the fate of these individuals. Que mujer tan baja!!
