Santo Domingo. – A shipment of 54 packages (bricks) of cocaine was found at Uvero Alto beach in eastern La Altagracia province yesterday, during a National Drugs Control Agency and Navy operation, which suspect that the narcotics were thrown overboard from a boat.
DNCD spokesman Lebrón Roberto Wednesday night said Navy sailors spotted the drug on the beach and notified the antinarcotics agency, the Tourism Police and the Interagency Task Force to widen the search for more packages in the adjacent coastal zones.
He said the authorities mounted an operation by air, sea and land to detain probable suspects and to look for other packages in beach areas, where the waves had washed the drugs ashore.
No one had been detained as of last night, although DNCD agents are confident they’ll arrest the drug’s owners at any time.
Lebron added that the 54 packages in blue plastic bags will be taken to DNCD headquarters early today, and then to Forensics for weighing and confirmation.

Or a little bit richer.
Whoops DT, you made a mistake in the article. The last line should be "and then to Forensics for weighing and DISTRIBUTION."
The proper question is:
54 bricks were turned in. How many were found?
25 bricks found, more can be found here...
