NEW YORK.- While calm was believed to have returned to the ruling PLD party in the U.S. New England region after Ramona Abreu assuming the post of interim vice consul in Boston, controversy resurged in those offices Tuesday when Miguel Andújar tried to force his way in to remove her.
A consulate source cited by elnuevodiario.com.do who asked not to use their name said Andujar, assigned to the post by a president Leonel Fernandez decree, cannot assume do so because he’s either a US citizen or permanent resident, but doesn’t want to relinquish that status to be accredited in the State Department.
Andujar allegedly went with a group of PLD members and his followers to the Boston consulate offices in Park Place and despite orders by security, tried to enter the building to reach Abreu’s office.
The source said Andújar tried to kick the main door down, and yelled out loud demanding to enter, prompting a call to police.

so what is the point ,,,in both situations there are people behaving badly .
But on a brighter note,,I read that 20 police officers from Higuey and surrounds have been dismissed for some very violent actions ..so it looks as if , at long last , some weeding out is being done ..

The point is that “The Thug in Chief,” Lie-onel Fernandez, nominated this miscreant, and for months now he has been JODIENDO with an entitlement tantrum for this do nothing job, and your God Lie-onel has not been able to rein him in.
At least the transportation workers provide a public service!

i Totally agree with juanb that we have far too many overseas offices ,,in the oddest places in asia and in the middle east and eastern europe and I hope th enew President puts aan axe through these numbers ,,,they are simply political favours ..I think that as there are many Dominicans living in Boston , with a good percentage seeming to have problems..we need a consul there ..who ahas the correct credentials..

Fortunately, unlike the DR, there was some security to keep this egoistic socially challenged low life and his thugs out of the office. Maybe she should get a restraining order against him and have him arrested next time. Now that would be worth seeing.........and Lionel wouldn't be able to do a thing about it.

There is an unprofessional immature irrational element to this story ... it makes no sense ... it is not possible to even consider a simliar situation in Canada ... you are in or out there is no confusion in the matter ... wait ... confusion ... ahhhhhh now I understand ... Miguel is simply confused in the matter ... now this makes sense ... not ....

This is what happens in an uncivilized society.

After living in the US for close to twenty years,as a permanent resident , I became a US citizen , so I wouldn't have to deal with the lowlifes that work in the Dominican consulate. Once, when I went to renew my passport , I was approached for a bribe. I'm not at all surprised by the conduct of these slugs.

Now here is the story of a real Dominican MAN!
Before the arrival of the Narco-Neo-liberal PLD punks that are trying to impose their Purple Dictatorship:
A Dominican HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Fernández Domínguez responded to the call of a people for freedom"
"Today marks 50 years since that the then mayor Rafael Fernández Domínguez, accompanied by 100 soldiers, broke in the officers Club to release to the Council of State which had been captured by general Pedro Rodríguez Echavarría"

If we had men like Fernandez Dominguez today, like Caaman, Tavarez Justo, Aristy. Good men, honest, principled men it might be different.
We have Salcedo, Montaz, Rancier and Abel Martinez and Mejia and baboso supreme Leonel, keep smoking that pipe baby!

Tell me, what good is it to have those few brave and honest men, when obviously they cannot get the support from their fellow dominicans?????
When you all do more then just bystanding awaiting for somebody else to stick their necks out, you might have the right to complain.
Guiness record at one moment from young girls, and then your officials acts like animals and drag you down the gutter once again. Will there be sufficient dominicans this time protesting to LF demanding this guy will be sacked???? I doubt it very much???
When will you all wake up and support your decent dominican heros even if it want benfit you at first???????? Do u think progress will come without sacrifices?????
