Santo Domingo.- The senator for Altagracia province on Monday denounced that a very small group which aims to ignore the desire of the majority has kidnapped the right-of-center PRSC party, of which he’s a prominent figure.

However Amable Aristy denied that he’s going to endorse the opposition PRD party candidate Hipólito Mejía, and affirmed that he’ll not attend next Sunday’s meeting of the PRSC Executive Commission, to prevent certifying something that in his view, the rank and file reject.

The veteran politico, who handed out piglets, cash and salamis to clamoring throngs as PRSC presidential candidate in 2010, said of the Executive Commission’s 13 members, 10 are on the government payroll, for which he isn’t thinking about legalizing a decision with an official tinge.

Why does this man have a platform to speak B/S? I understand that most D.R politicans are corrupt but this man looted the Liga Municipal for years, Nuria did a report on this crook and it explained in detail all the money that he stole for personal things, He has masive fortune that he can't explain, He worked closely with Tony Lena, How is this man still walking freely?? Not to mention his daughter Just gave away 20 houses a year ago in effort to build popularity! Where does she get the money to do this??? How can she buy a villa??? Why is Amable Aristy Castro not in Jail????????

and if Mejia does not win I think that the piglet politico is going to find himself in much trouble ,,he has lost his party ..and if he has no contril with the local councils then what influence has he ...and is he going to be the endorsed candidate for PRSC when 10 from 13 will be opposed to him ,,I think the money that will be allocated to his party will be spent on someone else ,,probably who backs the PLD

Ay Laregla had me in stitches! Amable is gonna go down, he's still got a lotta influence but he is going dowwwwwwwwwn! It's only a matter of time. He's too easy a target, unless he mends his ways and returns to PLD good graces he won't be flying in a helicopter much longer.

laregla,
because this is DR - and by voting for these scumbags I suppose the majority of dominicans want it this way. Some of the machos up for a change???????????????

Yucahu,
If he got a lot of money he will never go down - if the heat is above zero he will be braced by PLD, and things are back to normal the dominican way. By the way do you have a consulate in Tibet. He can easily be appointed there.

He ain't going to no Tibet, he's messin around with the peledeistas and he is flirting with the ppl of his own party. The reformistas and PLD already got rid of his cousin Fideas. If he doesnt Str8en up he won't be flyin right.

What is happening is PRSC party members are distancing themselves from this perennial presidential candidate because his questionable behaviors have become an embarrassment to the party. His teflon is wearing thin.
