BARAHONA, Dominican Republic. – Numerous Police agents are combing the rugged mountains around the town of Polo searching for a small plane which according to conflicting reports crashed a few days ago.

Police assigned to the South Region headed by the lieutenant colonel Radhamés Minyetti investigate leads in the zone within the Sierra de Baoruco range, where they were joined in the search by the Drugs Control Agency (DNCD).

Quoting a DNCD source, newspaper El Dia said the aircraft crashed in the hills near Polo, though the Police have yet to report finding any traces, even resorting to the use of mules to expand the search.

The authorities reportedly believe the plane was carrying drugs when it went down in the zone several days ago, when the villagers informed Police.

It’s also been reported that the crew was killed, but no evidence of that has been found thus far.

No no no...you forgot how they work, Regla. It crashed a couple of days ago and by the way that picture was taken, they must have knew where it came in through. The story is late to hit the public and how do we know that that picture was not taken from the crash site and they are telling us they are still looking for it......That shet has been delivered already and everyone is happy and no one will have to die.....PUNTO!!!

You can tell they found the treasure when local bars and colmadones fill up.

On a Tuesday, it leaves no room for doubt.

With modern forensic equipment they can find a needle in a row of haystacks, yet we can't find a whole aircraft on a little island?
Yeah, right!
The "authorities" knew there was this plane, and they thought it was carrying drugs, but didn't bother tracking it?

Roy,
You're right, if you can remember a couple of years ago before the purchase of those throwback planes from brazil the USA donated a state of the art radar system, which in a couple of days blew-out because of our impeccable electrical system and no one thought of a surge protector, Waite!! We never got them fixed, that's riiiiiiight we shelllllllllved it......I meant, had we fixed the radar system donated to us by uncle Sammy we could have spotted it when entering the dominican republic.........

THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC SHOULD GET ITS' PRIORITIES STRAIGHT. IN CHINA THE WHOLE STAFF WOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT BACK.

...Navy SEALs Rescue Two Aid Workers in Somalia in Daring Raid (ABC News)
....
A U.S. special operations team of Navy SEALs rescued two aid workers in Somalia Tuesday night, including a U.S. woman who had been held hostage for three months by Somali kidnappers and suffered from a life-threatening medical condition.
Jessica Buchanan, 32, of Bedford, Va., and Poul Hagen Thisted, 60, of Denmark, were abducted Oct. 25 by a band of Somalis while on their way to the airport in Galcayo, located in central Somalia. Both were working for the Danish Refugee Council's Danish Demining Group, and had just finished a training course for local Somali citizens when they were abducted.

Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when drones come for you?

The Miami-Dade Police Department could soon become the first police department in the country to employ unmanned drones, a technology that until now has been used for official purposes only in war zones and along the country’s border. The department acquired two T-Hawk Micro Air Vehicles, manufactured by Honeywell, in August 2009, and has been testing and training with them since. It is now in the third phase of a three-phase testing program, and plans to apply soon to the FAA for final approval to use the drones in operations. (A report on Thursday by WSVN said the department had recently finalized a deal to obtain a drone,

NEW YORK CITY POLICE TO USE SCANNERS TRYING TO LOCATE GUNS.

The head of the New York Police Department is working with the Pentagon to secure body scanners to be used throughout the Big Apple.

If Kelly gets his wish, the city will be receiving a whole slew of Terahertz Imagining Detection scanners, a high-tech radiation detector that measures the energy that is emitted from a persons’ body. As CBS News reports, “It measures the energy radiating from a body up to 16 feet away, and can detect anything blocking it, like a gun.”
What it can also do, however, is allow the NYPD to conduct illegal searches by means of scanning anyone walking the streets of New York. Any object on your person could be privy to the eyes of the detector, and any suspicious screens can prompt police officers to search someone on suspicion of having a gun, or anything else under their clothes

I assume the Air force and the new aircraft failed to notice the aircraft on it's radars? With the large amount of drugs found and seized it either came by boat or airplane.
