Santo Domingo.-  Dominican Republic and Bahamas officials will hammer out a technical cooperation agreement to protect the waters of the Caribbean Sea from drug traffickers.

Bahamas Foreign minister Frederick Audley Mitchell made the announcement after a meeting with president Danilo Medina in the National Palace Wednesday.

"We believe that we need to cooperate and try to stop the illegal trafficking of drugs through Caribbean waters," the diplomat said, noting that teams from both countries will meet in Nassau in around two weeks, to draft the pact to cooperate against poaching and illicit drugs.

The diplomat said other issues were discussed in his meeting with Medina, a boost in trade and the protection of marine resources among them.

you know I rather like the Jamaicans ,,they have a good British background , play cricket exceptionally well and actually seem to smoke all their pot themselves rather than export it elsewhere

Ah Jamaica, I alway have to back up to take the cia out of Jamacia.
Smoked up they maybe but they can surely put in a good days work and not injure themselves or others doing it. 'Reefer madness' is bull shit. It is no worse and probably better than alchol. Tax it if you must but the criminalizatrion of it causes disproportionate harm.
