Santo Domingo.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) arrested an American citizen who had hid in the country after fleeing South Dakota, where he’s charged with stealing US$350,000 from a senior citizen.

DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebrón said Kenneth Dale Thomason, 52, was detained in the northern city Santiago by antinarcotics and Immigration agents, and an Assistant DA. “An arrest warrant issued against that person by a court in South Dakota, from where it was sent to Dominican authorities for formal execution, as part of the US, Dominican agencies joint support program in the war on crime.”

He said Thomason will be escorted out of the country once the international protocol on deportation is complied with.

With 350k, I'm sure he didn't spend much time alone.

For that kind of money it was just not worth the risk. He is an idiot. Now a days 350k does not go too far, it can only buy you so much time and his time is up.

What's a senior citizen gonna do with US$350,000 anyway?
(sorry - not good taste?)
