Santo Domingo.- Marathon bickering and petty accusations has unleashed a stampede in what is arguably the country’s most popular talk radio program, “El Gobierno de la Mañana (The government of the morning) on Z-101 FM.

Its members the journalists Euri Cabral, Victor Gomez Casanova, Julio Martinez Pozo, Melton Pineda and Jose Laluz said they’ll officially announce their exit in an 11am press conference in the Hotel Santo Domingo Today Thursday.

“The reasons which motivated our exit will be explained in the meeting,” a source close to the group and the program said, quoted by newspaper Listin.

The landmark talk radio program has aired for 25 years, becoming a leader in opinions and commentaries.

Could the reason for the mass exit is they feel certain freedoms are being suppressed ?

There is only one reason and one reason alone for their exit....$$$$$

They will give another reason but that will just be a lie.

thia is sad news, and am pretty sure the reason for their exit must be related to them getting prob death threats, its sad to say but this country is turning into a little mexico, where if you talk about the wrong person you can easily end up in the ozama river the next day.

i expect this kind of response from an individual who believes that man's highest calling is the accumulation of material artifacts. that is generally the response when you yourself are shallow, and mindless, and have no significant accomplishments on your life's resume.

The infamous and very popular radio program at "La Z" you guys can listen to it in the net, is a very popular radio program with the common folks, but regretfully very much for sale to the highest paid advertiser.
All of the different disc jockeys are just mercenaries, and paid lobbyists, that live the high life with their big mouths and doses of verbal incontinence.
I am sort of glad that the show is finally going down, because of their dubious support of sensationalism, and the reelection efforts of Hipoloco Mejia and the PRD.
PS: The guy in the photo Arvaro Arvelo is the worst scum of them all.
