Santo Domingo.- A group formed by judges, representatives of the Justice Ministry, the United States Government and various institutions nationwide started training on Monday, to bolster their ability to investigate and prosecute crimes against flora and fauna species in danger of extinction.
The training, which concludes today in the capital BQ Hotel, is part of the efforts of the Central America and Dominican Republic Wildlife Norm Application and Observation Network (ROAVIS), supported by the Department of the Interior (DOI), in coordination with the Central American Atmospheric and Development Commission (CCAD).
Environment and Natural Resources Defense prosecutor Andres Chalas, who coordinates ROAVIS in the country, said the effort is a forum to cooperate by interchanging experiences, promoting and strengthening the Justice Ministry’s ability to enforce the laws and implant strategies to fight crimes against local and international traffic of wild flora and fauna, their parts and derivatives across the region.

However when it involves the wanton killing or removal of endangered species, or the rubbishing and polluting of the Caribbean and the Atlantic, it is a crime against the entire planet.
What are the US, Central America, and DR Government doing In the country, perpetrating a fraud fronting like they are trying to save Sea Turtles? This is Globalization raising its ugly head;
They are conditioning Dominican citizens to accept Global Government.
Who the hell needs these foreigners giving their opinions on what should and shouldn't be done in the country? Next. they will tell you how to fry your eggs. Or, how to slaughter your chickens.
Of course, the likely excuse for all the meddling is that it is for you good.
Who needs all this international concern for domestic issues?
All this external interference will only gradually increase the "intergration'" of the country into World Government; and create an interdependence that will be irreversible.
Once you are in, you can't get out! Yeah, like the Mob.
Can you read between the lines? Squint, focus and read, then you'll see the real 'story'.
