SANTO DOMINGO. – The Central Electoral Board’s (JCE) Military Police is conducting searches in several areas of the city as part of an investigation into 146 people who applied for more than one duplicate of their cedulas just two weeks, by taking advantage of the grace period when the ID is issued at no cost.
JCE president Roberto Rosario called a news conference in which he instructed general Napoleón Terreno and other officials to investigate what led those citizens to request more than one ID.
In the missive, Rosario said the Electoral Law stipulates the action as forgery and an electoral crime, which carries a penalty of up to 3 years in prison and a15,000 peso fine, “ if citizens vote more than once in one same election or that voters, direct or indirectly ask for bribes to cast a vote for any candidate or group of candidates in one election."

The question on this polls are that some of the people that answered don't even have a Cedula to vote on the election. Now if you go and ask the business people such as the importers whom the year budget in 2003 went up to the roof because they were paying 19 to 1 for a USD and it went up to 50 to 1 that is a 250% increase in just one year. I heard of businesses owner that are telling their employee that if Hipolito comes back to power they will move out of the country to Guatemala because labor is cheaper there and they can ship their goods and sale it back over here for less cost.
