SANTO DOMINGO.- President Leonel Fernandez met with Organization of American States (OAS) Electoral Observers delegation chief Tabaré Vasquez in the National Palace Thursday, where they discussed the country’s ongoing electoral process.

Vasquez, ex president of Uruguay, was accompanied by several officials of the OAS Electoral Cooperation Department, and members of observers of the Delegation.

Prior to the meeting with Fernandez, Vasquez told reporters it was courtesy visit and said the Central Electoral Board’s work in the process has been effective and transparent.
