Santo Domingo.- Kalil Michel, the latest politico to jump ship amid the internal strife in the opposition PRD party said Monday that other members of the entity, who belong to the faction of PRD president Miguel Vargas, will also vote against him and for Danilo Medina, of the ruling PLD party.

Michel, who was voted a National District City councilmember on the PLD municipal ticket, had resigned from in 2008 when he announced his support for Vargas.

“I’m going to vote for Danilo Medina and the PLD just like many of us who form part of the current of Miguel Vargas Maldonado, because Hipolito Mejia has done irreparable damage to the PRD,” the official said.

I am starting to feel that Jose ann has very big problem in that he cannot believe anything that is written,,,he thinks it is only purple haze .So even after the election , I am sure we will read that the electoral commission has been bought by the PLD.

well this is a VERY bad move for that Guy, he should have stayed OUT and just cross his arms not go and jump to the PLD, although he came from the PLD, so i guess jumping back is not such a big deal...That Vargas must be the most idiot politician i have ever seen, just by doing NOTHING he would have been president! but he chose to sign and be cheated on publicly by Leonel

The guy is just another political prostitute who is looking for his own benefit. He jumped already once from PLD to PRD now he is jumping again. It doesn't justify to leave your party and go to the other side just because you think that someone is making damage to the party. This is the best example how a typical Dominican politician works. Imagine an American politician jumping back and fort from the Republicans to the Democrats every time he is annoyed.
