SANTO DOMINGO.- The Emergency Center Operations (COE) on Saturday has raised the number of provinces under flash flood and mudslide advisories to four, and now included Espaillat and San Juan de la Maguana, in addition to alerts issued for Santiago and Puerto Plata yesterday.

The COE said the forecast of continuing downpours from two low pressure systems and eastern winds affect most of the country, with washed out highways in Santiago and hundreds of people evacuated thus far.
