President Fernandez, please stop the stealing

I could be arrested for writing this and even worse, I might have to resign from Dominican Today, and my family harassed.

But I’ve reached my limit as a journalist, a Dominican, and as the father of my children, whose future can’t be sequels of this frustration and chaos.

President Fernandez’s Government has stolen my trust in him and his party. His Administration has stolen my dream of a country where you can plan, dream and trust in the government to do the right thing.

President Fernandez’s Government has stolen my trust in his ability to fend off the legions of thieves who, in the guise of collaborators and party affiliates, steal my money and that of the millions of taxpayers.

But I will not let President Fernandez’s Government steal my dignity by continuing to coexist with this pent-up outrage.

Enough Mr. President, stop the stealing now.
