Santo Domingo.- The soggy soil and downpours will continue, for which the National Meteorology Office maintains flash flood and mudslide warnings for people who live near rivers, streams and gorges in Santiago, La Vega, Monseñor Noel, Hermanas Mirabal, Sanchez Ramirez and Duarte provinces.

It said a low pressure system over the eastern part of the country moving east will bring heavy showers and thunderstorms to the north, northeast, southeast, Central Mountains and border zone.

Meteorology adds that the showers will taper off over most of the country in the next 48 hours, with partly cloudy skies for today Monday.
