Santo Domingo.- Downpours and thunderstorms will continue through Tuesday afternoon from a low pressure system over the Mona Passage, more frequent for the northeast, southeast, Central Mountains and border zone.

Temperatures will continue warm, according to the National Meteorology Office, which forecasts gradually fewer showers by Wednesday afternoon.

It said the soil continues saturated for which flash flood and mudslide advisories are still in effect for Santiago (Tamboril, Navarrete), La Vega, Monseñor Noel, Mirabal, Sanchez Ramirez and Duarte provinces, especially the lower Yuna basin.
