Santo Domingo.- Justice minister Radhamés Jiménez surprisingly announced his “irrevocable” resignation effective August 16, in a letter to president Leonel Fernandez yesterday.
“Courteously, after saluting I direct myself to you in occasion of presenting my irrevocable resignation to the position of General Solicitor of the Republic, as of August 16 this year,” the missive says.
Jimenez states his gratitude to the President for the honor “to serve the country from those delicate public functions.”
“Thank you President for having allowed me to construct an independent Public Ministry, which nowadays counts with more than 600 career prosecutors.”

This is speculation only but it would suggest the incoming president elect had something to do with justice minister to resign. Danilo is already moving the furniture around to suit his taste. I would expect we will not hear the rest of the story.
Yenni Reynoso would be a great candidate for the emptying position just for her fearlessness qualities. However, she presents herself with high ethics and sitting as minister would influence her to turn to the "dark side" of government, politics, a place I think she does not want to go.
