NEW YORK.- The NY Police precincts 30, 33 and 34 in Upper Manhattan had to call for backups from the 23rd Sunday afternoon, to escort the crowds estimated at 15,000 people, during opposition PRD party’s campaign closing rally in the city.
The PRD Community Affairs division said more than 1,200 vehicles took part in the motorcade which Police agents had previously halted around 192nd St and St. Nicholas Av.
Police 34th Precinct commander Brian Mullen said the Department had to use a helicopter to calculate the number of people and vehicles from the air, as the agents forced the motorcade to start off from 135th St and Riverside Av. one hour before schedule.

This is in no way cause for patting one's self on the back. If you're going to have a rally, for pete's sake, get the proper permit. Otherwise, you will be shut down in the future.

New York Finest made adjustment and the Caravan was allowed to proceed normally!
