Santo Domingo.- The Presidency’s Antinarcotics Adviser on Friday rebuked Haiti ambassador Fritz Cineas’ request that Dominican authorities guarantee his compatriot’s human rights, claiming violations in repatriation proceedings.
Marino Vinicio Castillo said the country’s reality isn’t like the around 22 Haitian entities denounce, and instead is the fact that the neighboring country’s nationals are concerned with the enforcement of the immigration rules, which they reject.
By stressing that the Haitian ambassador went so far as to say that "Haitians have a certain right on the very principles of migration," the official reminded the diplomat that that isn’t so.
Castillo warned that to organize their entry and exit, any foreigner who comes to Dominican Republic has to comply with its laws and regulations, especially Haitians, a flow he affirms “has always been in disorder.”

I don't get it, if the USA or any other of so called second world country deports and bunch of people is ok but if the Dominican Republic deports a bunch of people then is called human right violation.
What's the matter with this people, if you are here without paper then you should get deport it just any other country with people that in thier countries without documentation to be there.

Me encanta tu comentario. Gracias.

"any foreigner who comes to Dominican Republic has to comply with its laws and regulations".
The DR does not have a monopoly on this notion. It seems to be a global infection that's rampant everywhere. And it touches a very raw nerve with me. Hence the rant (lol).
How sad is it that this common courtesy has to be re-iterated and then legislated? Isn't it just a matter of RESPECT that, when you're in someone else's home, you live by their rules & customs? These are simple manners that we all learned when we were infant children. Why do we become so self entitled - as so called adults - that we need such reminders - in the form of the threat of law - if we don't do what should be natural in the first place?
Be it business or pleasure, when I come to visit another land, my respect and honour for another culture and their law comes with me. Shouldn't that be a natural thing that requires no practice?
